How do we run sprint races? Any way you want us to. Really, there are no rules other than encouraging racers to pedal as fast as they can through an intense sprint. Oh…and encouraging them to have fun.
Typically the races go for 500 meters, lasting about 20 seconds. Usually for championship rounds we like to ramp up the distance to 1000 meters, just to make your legs as jelly as possible; however, if you’d like something a little different, we can do that.
We’ve hosted many sprint races and some bicycle demonstrations on our Open Sprints setups. Whether you want a pedal-your-guts-out sprint competition or need assistance showing off new gear, the “rules” can be adjusted to meet your needs.
